World Food Programme and Tufenkian Foundation Partner to Revitalize Syunik Region
A Memorandum of Understanding was signed with the World Food Programme, marking the beginning of a collaboration to revitalize Syunik villages. This partnership addresses key challenges such as depopulation, deteriorating infrastructure, and limited economic opportunities in the region.

Home Heating for Artsakh Refugees
Together with our partners from the "Honorable and Secure Syunik" and the “We Are Our Mountains” NGOs, we supplied 200 Artsakh families with stoves to heat their homes along with over 220 metric tons of firewood.

Emergency Preparedness in Syunik
At the invitation of Syunik Provincial Governor Robert Ghukasyan, in November a Tufenkian delegation conducted a field visit in the Syunik Province to assess emergency preparedness in the area. The delegation was led by Colonel Stéphane Sadak, a French-Armenian and the former head of France’s South-East Civil Defense and Security Zone, based in Lyon.

It is with heavy heart that we announce the passing of our dear colleague and friend, Edgar Danielyan. Edgar was a valued member of the Tufenkian Foundation team for 18 years, serving in various capacities, including as the manager of our Artsakh projects. He tragically lost his life in the explosion at a fuel depot near Stepanakert on September 25, which claimed many lives and injured many more.
Tufenkian Responding to Artsakh Refugee Crisis
In response to the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Artsakh and Armenia resulting from Azerbaijan’s unprovoked attack on September 19, the Tufenkian Foundation is providing essential aid and shelter to displaced Artsakh Armenians. In addition, the Foundation is working to amplify awareness of the dire circumstances faced by the thousands of Armenians as they are forced to emigrate from their ancestral homeland, ending thousands of years of indigenous Armenian presence in Artsakh.

ATP, AMAA, Tufenkian Foundation Provide Seed Potatoes to Artsakh Residents
In a move to bolster Artsakh’s food security, 90 tons of seed potatoes were delivered to the residents of Artsakh’s Martuni Region through a collaboration between the Armenia Tree Project, Armenian Missionary Association of America, and the Tufenkian Foundation. The humanitarian aid initiative comes at a critical time as Artsakh has suffered critical shortages of food, medicine, and other essentials due to Azerbaijan’s blockade.
