Raffi Tanielian is a London-based serial entrepreneur and Angel Investor. Over the last 20 years, Raffi has created, worked in or invested in many different types of companies, from technology to medical and to entertainment. Some of the notable successes are Bookpages.co.uk (sold to Amazon), Lastminute.com, Magicalia, Diyprint.com, and Fulcrum Medical. He has also invested and produced a number of successful movie productions. These include "The Proposition" (2005), “The Best Man” (2005), “Cuckoo”(2009).
Over the last few years, Raffi has been working with Idea London, the University College London/Cisco/EDF initiative. Idea London is a small business incubator/accelerator based in Shoreditch, London. This is part commercial, part philanthropic, offering sources of funding, skills, and contacts to help new businesses to succeed. At the same time, the University, commercial partners, and students/entrepreneurs have part ownership of the businesses created and accelerated in the environment. Raffi is also a Director of Tornig, a UK-based conglomerate with interests in real estate, the technology sector, and entertainment.
Raffi is involved in a number of philanthropic activities. He is involved in many UK-based Armenian organizations and sits on the Armenian Church in the UK’s advisory board. As a benefactor to the Armenian Paralympic Team, he went to the Paralympic Games in Rio in Sept. 2016.
